Katie was born and raised in Northern BC, and spent her school age years participating in a competitive dance troupe. After graduating from UBC in 2014 with a Masters of Physical Therapy, she spent her first year of practice in her hometown as the therapist for a CIS basketball team. Following that, she expanded her knowledge in the orthopaedic physiotherapy field while working at a sports clinic in Vancouver. Katie most recently worked as a Physiotherapy Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces, expanding her leadership skills as well as physiotherapy practice to work with injured active members of the military.

Katie has completed an advanced practice fellowship with the Canadian Academy of Manual and Manipulative Therapists (FCAMPT) and has taken courses that have added functional dry needling (IMS), mobilization with movement, concussion and vestibular therapy, and temporomandibular disorder therapy to her treatment modalities. Additionally, Katie is a Crossfit Level 1 certified coach, and spends her free time working out at Taranis Athletics, or with her dog Jackson, who can be found sleeping outside the treatment room at the gym. Katie’s treatment approach is a combination of active and manual therapy to return her clients to their meaningful activities.
